Big empty sky

Big empty skies, with the cloud formations and a single jet airplane  make for some great photographs.

Art within Art

When is photography not considered art? If you take a photograph of art done by someone else, surely you can't claim it for your own.

On a trip this past summer up to San Francisco I found several painting on the sides of building in Chinatown. Some of the paintings simply told a story of everyday life, while others told stories of fantasy, myths and tales of dragons.

Behind the windows and doors of San Francisco

Take a journey through the streets of San Francisco, but don't forget to pause and look up. Windows and doors are full of mystery. What is hidden right behind them? Who is hidden right behind them?

Flames on a cold night 12.4.11

Something as simple as photographing the flames in the fire place. After a wind storm followed by very cold nights with crystal clear skies, it is nice to curl up with a good book and warm up to a roaring fire. I discover that not all photo journeys need to take place in exotic far way lands. Some of the best shots I have managed to fire off (no pun intended) have been right in front of me.
