When traveling to Snow Canyon State Park and Bryce Canyon in Utah, some of the shots I found most interesting were those depicting texture. Something as simple as the side of a sand dune shows the ripples created from the blowing wind. While spending an afternoon at Snow Canyon State park just outside of St. George, Utah the wind began to blow so hard it was near impossible to keep the door of the car open even for a minute to try and capture a quick shot. All I ended up with was a face full of sand and a dirty camera lens. Now I have a new respect for those who lived through the great dust storms having no where to escape to, all I had to do was shut the car door and drive away.
